We began our journey in 1985 with B&O Espresso on Capitol Hill; partnering with them to open a new location in the Broadway Market followed by a second on Cherry Street in Pioneer Square in 1992.
In 1997, we decided to form my own company, Cherry Street Coffee House at the location on 1st & Cherry. Today, we still carry on a great relationship with B&O that continually makes us smile. In 1998, the second Cherry Street was opened in Belltown between Lenora & Blanchard on 1st Avenue.
Our relationship with friend and now business partner Greg Smith with Urban Visions fueled the opening of our third location on 3rd & Marion in the heart of Seattle’s financial district. In March 2005, we opened the doors to our fourth location at 1st & Clay on the north side of Belltown. With continual love and support, we welcomed our fifth location, which opened in August 2007, on 1st & Seneca just south of the SAM and the Harbor Steps in the West Edge neighborhood downtown Seattle.
With all of the exceptional coffee houses in our great city of Seattle, we have to focus on what makes our house special. First and foremost in the true belief that it takes ‘true love to build a great community’ and through deeper connections with our community we will capture the greatest energy that no money can buy. We are all about people and the relationships we forge with them to cultivate a genuine sense of community.
We look forward to meeting you!
Our Mission: Great Coffee. Distinct Food. Genuine People.
